As Jesus looked up, he saw the rich putting their gifts into the temple treasury.
He also saw a poor widow put in two very small copper coins. “Truly I tell you,” he said, “this poor widow has put in more than all the others. All these people gave their gifts out of their wealth; but she out of her poverty put in all she had to live on.” Luke 21:1-4.

A case of less is more…

Some people face incredible hardship. Acts 20:35. & others dote upon themselves & give as little as possible away in generosity. Hardship is in the eye or the heart of the beholder. It matters why we sink our money into stuff & what we sink our money into…just ask the politicians & the electorate at the moment.

But giving to God is not a tax but a gift that serves His purposes. God can use our gifts & put them to good work, bearing fruit at just the right time in the seasons of our lives & the lives of others. The tree gives & it comes from God.
