I once heard the Ten Commandments described as a baby sitter. God’s moral law was never going to be the ultimate fix but a temporary guide until the fulfilment of His promises & plan of salvation would reach its fulfilment.
From one family, then a nation & then many nations comes the blessing of living in a restored relationship with God. Love, freedom & limits are wisely intertwined in God’s law and Christ the son gives us reason to rejoice in the Grace that flows through Him.
Here we meet the law again, but under different circumstances. It’s not a hello from the other side but part of the family, God’s family, ransomed, healed, restored, forgiven.
Here is love, here is joy unspeakable.
