The Black & The White & The Grayscale

2B or not 2B…that is the question. I can remember watching Television in gray scale as a kid, I even remember a scene or two from Hamlet. “Oh what a tangled web we weave” (not Hamlet but Marmion). Our quest for right is often overshadowed by wrong. It appears as if evil triumphs over good except when the Lone Ranger (& Tonto) or the Cisco kid (& Pancho) gallop onto the scene.

Our imaginations can run wild, even as we grow older. Lines, contours & borders assist us in staying safe but the modern world like the old black & white or sepia for that matter has trouble keeping within that which is there for our guide & our good.

It’s nothing new really… sin entangles our lives taking things deeper & deeper into the shallowness, focus can be good as much as bad & so it is with desire. It climbs on & clings to us whispering its freedom song while we become darkened & encumbered in our understanding.

There is something much greater than darkness & that is the light."The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it". John 1:5.
