Heavy rain & strong winds have hit our region with great severity. Trees down, loss of power, communication & water, rising rivers breaking their banks taking livestock, transport, homes & human life…

Supermarkets that lost power over several days were regrettably throwing out food by the truck load (literally). Delicacies off to the dump although some greyhounds owned by one of the farmers who collects vegetable scraps for his cows were going to feast with a broad selection of pies &sausage rolls.

Roads & bridges that interlink around rivers can quickly lose their effectiveness & function due to one minimal section of road being too low. Many people were cut off from their families & homes for days on end

On the whole the community & region have come together as one as many go the extra mile.
