Stocktake, Scrabble & Scripture

Some words are not worth the paper they are written on, virtual or real…spoken or written, they are better served to be shredded beyond recognition. Some words although precious, are twisted beyond meaning so that their value drops to a point of worthless insignificance through complexity or falsehood.

Words can drip honey, they can be as smooth as oil [Pr 5:3] our own words can be our downfall, trapping & ensnaring [Pr 6:2]. It’s pretty clear isn’t it, we need to take stock of what we listen to, we need to take stock of what we say. In the light of Scripture words can build up & tear down, of what we say or write, we must give account. No matter whom we are or where we dwell.

Some words are trustworthy & true, our very souls & lives can be entrusted to them, come what may they will remain true, eternally so.

Ps 119:130 The unfolding of your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple.
